More than a WSDC event…

Winter White WCS is an year dance event created by Ardena, aka Argo Movement. It started as a small weekend workshop with Stephen White in Ås, Norway, simply to bring the Norwegian WCS community together. By 2014, it became an official World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) event.

Today, Winter White is known for its cozy, welcoming vibe and great social dancing. It is perfect for those who prefer a more intimate event with a relaxed approach to competitions

What really makes Winter White special is the feeling: it’s kind, warm, and full of love. It’s about connection, community, and the joy of dancing together - the kind of weekend that leaves you with butterflies. The social floor is famously full until breakfast, year after year.

Alongside the dancing, the event offers both partnered and solo classes for all levels, as well as a wellness track with yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. It’s also family-friendly, with options for babysitting and activities for kids while parents enjoy classes, dancing, and competitions.

And while it is a WSDC event with competitions… you barely feel it.
